1. Provider and scope
DotReminder is an Android reminder application provided by kareem ehab, publishing as FreeRave (DotSuite). Contact: support@dotsuite.dev.
These terms cover DotReminder and the account, synchronization and optional AI services provided for it. They do not replace the separate terms for unrelated DotSuite products. You must have the legal capacity required to accept these terms; where applicable law requires a parent or guardian's permission, obtain that permission before using the service.
2. What the app provides
DotReminder helps you create and organize reminders, recurring tasks, categories, templates and calendar entries. Some features require an account, an internet connection, Android permissions or compatible device capabilities. Features can vary with the app version and device.
You should review the title, date, time, recurrence, location and other details before saving a reminder. An alert being delivered does not mark a task as completed.
3. Notifications and important activities
Android permissions, notification channels, volume, Do Not Disturb, power settings, device availability and other technical conditions can affect an alert's timing, visibility or sound. We cannot promise that every alert will arrive or sound at an exact time.
DotReminder is a general organization tool, not an emergency service or a medical decision-making service. Use an appropriate additional method for activities where a missed or delayed alert could cause harm. This explanation does not remove any responsibility or remedy required by applicable law.
4. Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not send passwords, SMS codes or authenticator codes to support.
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, infringement of others' rights, unauthorized access, interference with the service or bypassing usage limits. You remain responsible for the reminder content and AI requests you submit and for having the right to submit them.
Biometric app lock protects access to an existing session on a supported device. It does not replace account sign-in or enrolled multi-factor checks.
5. Optional AI assistance
The AI assistant can suggest replies and reminder drafts. It can misunderstand a request or produce incorrect dates, times or other information. Review and edit suggestions before saving or relying on them. AI does not automatically save a reminder on your behalf.
AI requires an internet connection and can be subject to usage limits or temporary unavailability. Requests are processed through the DotSuite backend and Google's Gemini service as described in the privacy policy. Avoid sending information you do not want processed by those services.
6. Privacy, advertising and external services
The app includes advertising and uses external services for functions such as authentication, synchronization and AI. Their availability and applicable terms can affect those functions.
Read the DotReminder privacy policy for data practices, permissions, advertising, analytics and service-provider information. These terms do not grant blanket permission for data processing that requires a separate choice or consent under applicable law.
7. Stopping use and deleting your account
You can stop using the app at any time. You can request deletion of your DotReminder account and associated data through the app's privacy controls, the deletion request page, or support.
Support verifies account ownership and completes verified requests within 30 days after verification. Opening the page or an email draft does not send a request or delete data. The privacy policy explains the deletion scope, local copies, provider data and any legally required retention. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not itself delete your cloud account or data.
8. Service changes and access restrictions
Updates, maintenance, technical failures or provider changes may affect the service. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security threats or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the restriction and how to contact support to challenge an error. You may still contact support about your data and applicable rights.
9. Open-source licensing and legal rights
DotReminder's published source code is licensed under Apache License 2.0. These terms do not reduce the rights that license grants. Third-party code remains subject to its applicable licenses.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a consumer right, warranty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.
10. Changes and contact
We will identify the effective date of published terms. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate advance notice and obtain any acceptance required by applicable law before applying those changes. The latest text will remain available from the app and the DotSuite website.
